Not sure how deGRANDSON Global’s e-training program for lead auditors, internal auditors, and lead implementers work? Check out our FAQs on ISO Training Courses. including Registration and Payment, for a quick overview of the things you need to know.
Payment & Enrollment
This usually arises when the person buying the Course is not the intended Learner and the second part of the Payment-Enrollment Process has not been completed.
The complete process is described in the ‘Getting Started’ video on the Cart Page.
Having viewed the video go back to www.degrandson.com using the same computer that purchased the Course. Then select ‘My Account’ (link in footer) and complete the Enrollment Process.
It couldn’t be easier. In the Cart Screen, during the Course Purchase Process, you will be offered a choice of payment options. One of these is the Installment Payment option. Select this option..
- Enter your debit or credit card details,
- Review the details to fully understand how this option works, and
- Confirm you selection and the jobs done.
The typical message we received with notification of payment failure is …
Stripe SCA authentication failed. Reason: The provided source has failed authentication.
The Strong Customer Authentication (SCA)
This scheme applies to card purchases throughout the EU, EFTA and the UK and leads to occasional requests for further information at checkout.
It works as follows…
- A cardholder wants to buy something.
- They input their card number, name, CVV number and expiry date.
- The bank decides it wants to authenticate the transaction further and sends an additional request for one of the following:
- something they know (e.g., a previously set PIN)
- something they have (e.g., their phone, which they prove by entering an OTP received via SMS)
- something they are (e.g., a scan of their fingerprint or picture of their face)
- If the information matches what is on record, the payment is authorized.
Problem is at 4. – information didn’t match.
Solution
There are several options here…
- Try the payment again with the same card but on your usual computer (often works)
- Use a different card
- Use a different payment option, e.g., PayPal (where no account is needed) or SEPA for a Euro payment.
For more details on SCA, see https://seon.io/resources/dictionary/sca/
The payment, especially if you are using the PayPal portal, can be rejected because of an erroneous spoofing check made during the order entry process. This is a feature we are trying to have removed as it has been proven 100%% WRONG to date. And we apologise for the inconvenience.
Should you encounter this problem, please uae the alternative Stripe payment option.
To enroll in these courses, you need to fulfill one of these criteria:
- Either you have completed a course with us before,
- Or you have successfully completed a pre-test.
For Internal Auditor grade, the free pre-test course is Course 004X. For Lead Auditor grade, it’s Course 006X.
So, the usual reason for the blank pop-up? It’s a new customer who hasn’t done the pre-test.
The PayPal page opens in a new browser window and is being blocked by the browser’s pop-up blocker settings.
Solution: Enable pop-ups to be displayed in your browser settings.
Courses & Lessons
The Lead Auditor Course is the ‘traditional’ Course introduced in the 1990s for the training of Certification Body Auditors. In the absence of any alternative (other than Internal Auditor training) many quality managers, consultants and management representatives took Lead Auditor Courses. Nowadays we have Lead Implementer Courses, at the same level as Lead Auditor (e.g. auditor training is the same for both types of Course), where the focus is on implementing and maintaining the management system. Go to Course Content sections on the Product Pages for both Courses you can see the differences reflected there.
First, we recommend talking to your manager or colleagues to get their advice. If you’re still not sure, then we recommend you try our ‘Free Lesson.’
This lesson will walk you through on how to choose a standard and scope of certification.
If that doesn’t clarify things, you can also send us an email at [email protected] for more information.
To successfully complete an auditor course, you need to meet certain levels of education and work experience. However, that is usually not a barrier for interested learners.
The qualification and experience requirements set out in our Introductory Course, ‘e-Training with deGRANDSON Global’, are not mandatory.
You do not have to provide us with any evidence of meeting them. With that said, you may face some degree of struggle with the corresponding certification courses.
Qualifications:
Depending on the Grade chosen there are varying levels of minimum educational qualification recommended.
Recognition of Prior Learning
Learners who do not meet the education requirements may be able to successfully complete the chosen course. This is possible if they’ve achieved a level of literacy and numeric comprehension that enables the effective conduct and management of QMS audits through work experience or other means.
Work Experience:
For the higher Grades, experience at managerial level are advised.
To open the ‘e-Training with deGRANDSON Global’ course (it’s free of charge) and get the full details on pre-qualification, please select the ‘Try It Now’ button on the left. After that, just try to follow the ‘Try it Now’ instructions.
Duration varies from 15 minutes to 1 hour. We tried our best not to chop up topics to give standard periods for lessons to make them more comprehensive.
Typically, lessons take 20 to 30 minutes. All lessons include a resume feature. This means you can stop a lesson and restart at the same exact point at a later time.
IRCA is now a commercial organization owned by CQI. As such it certifies courses and assesses its own providers, which process we consider to be compromised – a conflict of interest. We have chosen the international route of ISO 29990 Certification where we are subject to audit by an ISO 17021 Certified Certification Body.
And we ask the question:
If you’re offering ISO Auditor Courses why would you not be certified to the ISO Standard for Learning Providers?

Payment Options
No problem.
During the sequence to pay via PayPal, you will be offered the chance to pay for your chosen ISO course with a debit or credit card.
This occurs at the point where you are asked to log in to PayPal or create a new account. Ignore this and choose the Debit/Credit Card option.
The sequence of screens is shown here.
Note
We offer Stripe as an alternative payment method, which you can use if PayPal is causing problems.
By choosing PayPal or Stripe as a payment option, you wouldn’t need to give us your credit or debit card details.
If you are located in the Euro Zone, then yes, you can pay directly to our account with a SEPA transfer. Where available, the SEPA option is given as one of the payment options on the Cart Page.
However, there are many ways you can pay, namely,
- With a PayPal account from funds in that account
- With a PayPal account direct from your bank account (no credit/debit card required)
- With a Debit Card – no PayPal account required
- With a Credit Card – no PayPal account required
- With Stripe
- And, if none of these options suit, payment using one of these methods can be made on your behalf by a colleague or a friendly bank manager.
The screen sequence for Debit/Credit Card payment can be found here.
