John FitzGerald

John FitzGerald was born in Tipperary Town, Ireland, educated locally and at Terenure College, Dublin.  After nine years at University College Dublin (UCD) he left with a 1st class honours degree in chemistry and a PhD in synthetic organic chemistry. After fifteen years in manufacturing industry, he worked as a trainer and consultant in the UK and Ireland, focusing on the ISO 9001 family of Standards.  In 2009, he began developing an online e-training business to ensure the seamless delivery of auditor training for ISO management system standards to serve learners worldwide. deGRANDSON Global is the result.

He occasionally works as a Lead Auditor for an accredited certification body (CAB) on ISO 9001, ISO 13485, ISO 14001, ISO 27001, ISO 45001, and ISO 55001 audits.  ‘Keeps me sharp’, he says.

John actively directs the business on a full-time basis from our Cyprus Head Office and is the Project Leader for the design and development of new and revised Courses.
